A last taste of summer at Jeremy's

It's getting to that time of year when we need some borrowed sunshine, so why not end summer in style at our South of France wine dinner on Thursday 25th October,  in the company of Anne Roque.

Anne comes from Nice and is passionate about the wines of the south.  She represents a small group of independent southern wine producers.  She will talk our guests through a series of wines made from characterful and different Mediterranean grapes - Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Noir, Mourvedre, Carignan.  Apart from the glamorous grapes, the winemakers of the south have all the luck - summers you can count on, the warm Mistral blowing from the Med and the North African desserts.  It all results in ripe, fruity wines which Jeremy and Kathryn have matched with ingredients and flavours that produce the best possible marriage of complementary tastes.

There'll be five wines: three wines from Domaine Cazes in Rivesaltes, the biggest certified organic and biodynamic estate in France; our lovely Viognier from Mas la Chevalia near Béziers and our delicate Provençal Rosé from Chateau Beaulieu, an imposing Chateau built as a stronghold for the French King Henry III in 1576.  It promises to be a superb evening of delectable food and wine, together with great company.  Click here to view the menu.  To book either call us on 01444 441102 or book online.  £60 per person for a 4-course dinner including an aperitif and canapés, wines, coffee and petits fours.

We have just received the fantastic news we had been waiting for with bated breath - Jimmy has made it through to the cook-off in this year's Sussex Food and Drink Awards, Young Chef category.  Thank you to all for voting - he now deserves to win!

As a reminder, we are half-way through our series of Autumn Suppers each Thursday, with (yet to come) vegetarian, Italian, Nordic and our finale, game.  Again, do please call to make a reservation or book online.

We look forward to seeing you.
