Jeremy's and all that jazz

Acclaimed jazz pianist and raconteur Mike Hatchard makes an excellent choice for our Easter Monday jazz on April 25th.

Mike is a one-man orchestra who can play piano, percussion, sax, trumpet, trombone and the violin.   He is also a wonderfully talented vocalist whose repertoire includes evergreens by the likes of Cole Porter and Irving Berlin and 'Rat Pack' style tunes.   Mike's sheer virtuoso musicianship makes him an outstanding performer.  Jazz from 12 noon, and lunch is a la carte.  To make a reservation please either call us 01444 441102 or book on line.

Experimenting with chocolate over the Easter period is fun and there is no exception in our kitchen!   We have been playing with some chocolate recipes to make our Easter menus a little bit special - including perfecting a blood orange chocolate sauce to accompany our Gressingham duck.  We will also unveil some new, delicious chocolate puds.   Our next door Cafe Elvira will also have some Easter treats for the children.

Lighter evenings and the switch-over to fresh, summery menus also makes it the moment to try out a few refreshing perky pink rosé wines including the light, quaffable Domaine de Cabriels from the Languedoc at £17.50 a bottle or enjoy our on-going love affair with Portugal over a glass of Quinta da Giesta Touriga Nacional rosé 2010 for £6.50. This really is a beautiful wine for al fresco dining.

On Thursday May 26th Jeremy's is hosting a Bollywood  fashion show and dinner on behalf of CARE International and local Cuckfield-based JoJo Boutique.  This promises to be a very special evening for an excellent cause, comprising a 3-course dinner with entertainment and a raft of exciting prizes to bid for.  Tickets are now for sale at £65 per person, inclusive, and can be purchased directly from info@jojoboutique.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
