Jeremy's spirit of Christmas

Seasons greetings from all of us here at Jeremy's and Cafe Elvira.  As a special award-winning year for us comes to an end, all of our team are working hard to deliver something of the true spirit and magic of Christmas - at the very least, a haven from the helter skelter build up to the big day.  For most of us the tunes and carols of childhood memory can still stir the soul.  Driving home last week, I chanced on this reworking of an old favourite as it popped up on the radio, and that did it for me  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJpHFGpYdoo . Merry Christmas!

And Christmas is not just a time for celebration but also giving and this Autumn we decided to get involved  in the Love Food Give Food fund-raising as one of a number of chefs, restaurants and foodies coming together and taking positive action against hunger in third world countries.  Because of your support during October and November we have been able to make a donation on behalf of all our customers.

Closer to home, in the way of Christmas treats at Jeremy's, our delicious pre-Christmas menu is available for lunch and dinner in the run up to Christmas Day. We are offering a special 'twixtmas' family festive menu from Thursday 27th December to Sunday 30th December, lunch only, featuring a complimentary yuletide table of treats including cheeses, nuts, fruit and a glass of port. 2-courses £25 per person and 3-courses £29.50 per person. Children under the age of 12 dine half price. Jeremy's will be open for dinner on Friday 28th December and Saturday 29th December.

Our post-Christms and early new year opening times for Jeremy's and Cafe Elvira can be found on our website. As a quick reminder though, Jeremy's will be closed from Wednesday 2nd January 2012 for our annual leave and reopening for dinner on Tuesday 15th January.  And please join us for a celebratory Burns Night supper on Friday 25th January - haggis, neeps, tatties and whisky and ceremonial piper.  We are now taking bookings, 4-courses £42.50 per person and any aversion to haggis can be catered for. Please either call us 01444 441102 or book online.

Just a few tables are left for our New Year's Eve dinner so do contact us if you wish to make a reservation.

This just leaves us to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year and to thank you also so much for your loyal support and custom over the past year.

With best wishes,

Jeremy, Vera and the team
