A time of lazy, hazy summer days, alfresco dining and summer on our plates. It has been a real pleasure to see our terrace being enjoyed as we bask in a touch of Mediterranean heat. So far, it has been a busy summer for us; our jazz bbq was a sizzler and our recent African-themed dinner with the renowned explorer Colonel John Blashford-Snell recounting tales of Dr. Livingstone and Henry Morton Stanley, together with wine expert Charles Metcalfe, was a very enjoyable evening.
As a bit of summer fun for our email club members we will, again, give away five, free Tuesday degustation menus for two, to the five most interesting dishes based on seasonality that members email us to request that we put on the tasting menu. Choose any category of cold starter, hot starter, fish dish, meat dish or dessert - eg ceviche of Rye Bay Turbot with guacamole as a cold starter. To enter, simply email Jeremy: email@example.com.

A quick, but important up-and-coming note for the diary; taste the delights of the champagne from by one of the oldest, family-owned vineyards in France at our Champagne Henriot dinner on Thursday 16th September. Over the centuries, this impressive family has expanded its viticultural domain, always acquiring parcels in the best grand crus. £70 per person including a 3-course dinner and accompanying champagnes. 7.30pm for 8pm.
