Jeremy and Jimmy have teamed up with Joe Wadhams, wine guru from one of our wine suppliers, Hallgarten & Novum. Head chef Jimmy has plotted a gastronomic voyage across the Med, and Joe, who will host the evening, has matched the dishes with a scrumptious set of wines from those very same ports of call.
We’ll tack on the warm, gentle breezes from Plymouth (tucking into a summery gin cocktail), and put in at Saint-Tropez for seafood and fennel salad with magnums of chilled Provence Rosé. A herby, lemony fish dish awaits along the Amalfi Coast with a glass of glistening white. Then it’s on to Turkey, where we’ll drink a fine (yes!) Turkish red with lamb all smoky and spicy from the barbecue, and brimming sharing plates of meze and tabbouleh... We sail back into Dover for Kentish strawberries (with a twist), at peak of ripeness, served with English pink fizz.
