Featuring the wines of Thierry Delaunay, grown just upriver from the famously gorgeous Château de Chenonceau. Like the château, Thierry's vineyards are on the River Cher, a tributary that joins the Loire by Tours. Thierry is the fifth generation of the family to make wines in vineyards here, sloping down to the river. Julie Garcia will be with us from the vineyard to tell us about the wines.
These are some of our favourite wines by the glass at Jeremy's, white, rosé and red, wines with the appellation Touraine or Chenonceau, all 'sustainable', some of them organic. Speciality of Thierry's cellar are wines from his Sauvignon Blanc grapes, but he has great reds too, made from Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
Jimmy and his kitchen team will pair them with a Loire-inspired menu - beurre blanc, goat's cheese, rillettes, macarons, nougat de Tours...
