In mid-June Sally Gunnell, OBE, patron of these awards announced the finalists at a special get-together. Sally is really good news, she is passionate about local produce and suppliers - did you know her dad was a farmer?
The voting lines are open. Jeremy's has been nominated in the best eating experience category, which is aimed at restaurants, pubs and cafes in Sussex which celebrate great food, a welcoming ambience and the use of local produce and suppliers. Our fantastic young chef, Jimmy Gray, was crowned last year's Sussex Young Chef of the Year, however it's not just all about the kitchen; such awards give our front-of-house hard working team the chance to shine, as they usually do.
If you would like to vote for us, you can simply text EATING followed by 4001 to 65400 (by law, we do have to tell you that texting costs 50p plus your standard network charge). Or you can go on line to the website, log in and register your vote that way.
It is our lovely, friendly customers who help shape this business on a daily basis. So once again, we thank you for taking the time to vote. Let's hope it counts!
On a bit of a housekeeping note, we upgraded and improved our website and hope that you find it easy to navigate around, particularly when on the move when making a reservation on the go. It is now so quick with the new 'responsive design'. (I understand that means that the website adapts to whatever device you are using!).
We look forward to seeing you soon and to warmer days when the terrace truly comes into its own.
Jeremy, Vera and the team
