Guests can taste a host of beers from this rapidly expanding and innovative brewery and enthusiasts need look no further. Gardener's Delight, Fire in the Hole and perhaps, though not for the faint-hearted with its chilli influence, Black Death are among some of the beers making an appearance, paired with food from Jeremy's BBQ. This year's Sussex Food and Drink Awards 2011/12 have just been launched; deemed to be Sussex's foodie Oscars, these awards support and recognise the large number of local producers and creators of award-winning food and products in the county. Both Jeremy's and Cafe Elvira have been nominated in the Best Eating Experience and our two young chefs in Jeremy's kitchen have discovered a whole new meaning to 'competitive spirit' and are now battling it out as a result of their nominations in the Young Chef of the Year category, (closing date for this category, July 11). Good luck to Jimmy and Rob! It goes without saying that we really appreciate your support and time to vote online via their website. As an aside, you can only have one vote per category so to help your chef choice, Jimmy works on 'mains' and Rob on 'starters'.
Also, we have been invited to host the first Sussex Selsey Lobster dinner on Wednesday 6th July as part of a new campaign launched by South East Seafood to support small scale fishing communities in our region and sustainable fishing methods. Hopefully it will be the first in a series and for this particular evening we have crafted a special four-course dinner featuring the Selsey Lobster. £50 per person to include coffee and petits fours. 7.30pm for 8pm.
